Among the concrete
And litter of the central
Reservation, a
Tiny bramble has gained a
Foothold; sending its
Leaves out over the dented
Grey crash barrier
Into the fume-filled air, and
Here in this urban
Hedgerow it has put forth one
Shining, purple-red
Berry - which hangs its dark head
Inches from the speeding cars.
