From 1980-1983 I studied for a BA in Geography at Hull University - at a time when Philip Larkin was still working in the library. After completing my degree I went on to take an MA in Creative Writing at Lancaster University. I have had poetry published in the Faber Book of Blue Verse, Poetry Review (x3), The Rialto (x2), Iron and Outposts Poetry Quarterly (x2). I have taught creative writing for Norfolk Adult Education, Norwich City Council and at H.M.P. Norwich. On a more bizarre note, I am also the author of Inspector Boozer and the Maddingham Murders.

My other website is Poets' Graves which was launched in August 2003. Originally it was a small site dedicated to listing the final resting places of English poets - but soon expanded to include American and European poets.

Over the years I have added: a glossary of poetic terms (No.1 on Google UK); a poetry forum; Poets Laureate; Oxford Poetry Professors; Nobel Prize Winners (Literature); musicians' graves; other writers' graves; famous poetry quotations and a library of 'out of copyright' classic poems.

Poets' Graves now receives up to 3,100 unique visitors each day. It is listed on Wikipedia, is regularly archived by the British Library and was voted Favourite Poetry Resource Site by Poetry Kit in 2006.

I currently work at City College, Norwich as a Student Finance Adviser.
