Resolutions Brain Colander

Postby blueknight » Mon Dec 27, 2004 10:12 pm

End of year
place brain
in a ‘special’ colander
rinse it
find
clandestine remnants
of long lost innocence,
like cobwebs in an attic
not seen light
or any living thing
until the darkness
is lifted, latch released
hole in ceiling opened,
makes for a cavernous think
envisage deep wells
brimming with
century old pennies
millions of dreams
rusty
corroded
lost,
yet encapsulated in
time and space
resolutions in oxidation
a reaction
born from action
manifestations,
reflections
of past lives,
feel
latent ambitions
surface,
beached
dreams,
anchored up feelings
and past tear
surges
aware of the past,
walking through woodland
wolf cries from behind
look over shoulder
muse white fangs toils
life battles and
neglected plans,
must refract sight
round the bad
be guided towards
future good
forward positivity raptures
fade away
bad thought ruptures.

Time has come
shackle up the fears
crack open joyful
life oysters
open the cloisters
begin a new era
until this time
next year-
more hopes
new wishes
for another year.

Lift brain out of colander
mind feels lighter,
trip the ambient switch
lie back
relax
RBC’s cleaned
for next year.

A stream of conciousness poem, I can see myself writing this, so I'm presuming you wrote it that same way. Some lines really mean something, some lines are throwaway but connect anyway, and at the end you have to tie it all together.

I enjoyed many of the images, especially when it narrowed to one line.
