Hooray! How nice to see the return of Mic's drawings. Not seen one for a while.

Yes, nice to see. I like that the pillow seems like wings. Glad you post these, Mic.

Thanks Suzanne - yes I thought they looked like wings too - accidental of course, but a happy accident I think!

**small brag alert**

A trendy coffee shop owner who has seen some of my drawings (which I've been using for posters to promote a monthly poetry night) has asked if I'd be interesting in hanging some of them there. I don't really think I've got enough that would be worth hanging (yet!) but maybe a few months down the line. But I was very flattered to be asked. And it is especially good and immensely satisfying ammunition for me to use against friends of mine who think my drawings are some sort of elaborate joke: it will utterly drive them Up The Wall to hear I've been asked to 'exhibit' my 'Work'

This is the place:

I saw Nick Cave in there not long back! - his studio is just around the corner. 8)

Mic,

This is wonderful news! I am happy for you. Being asked is an honor, for sure. And especially at a place that you like or admire ( in style).

Your friends are probably teasing you, or they just don't know. You have a personal style already, and have improved over time. If this is something you want to dive further into, it looks like you are getting a good offer/prompting to do so.

Keep building your portfolio. It is the framing for such things that can be the most expensive, I have heard.

From where you were when you posted your first poem in Beginner's you have grown artistically and it has been a pleasure to watch. Well done, Mic.

Warmly,
Suzanne
(I am determined to find a painting class next September, I have even arranged my work schedule already! You've been an inspiration)

I've seen enough of your abstract drawings (my favorite), to think you have enough material to do a hanging. Depends on how much they want to hang of course.

This is a good one, like the pillow/wings.

Thanks Marten.
They'd want 6 framed pieces. I have three. Trouble is the rest of the drawings are all just messily piled up and rolled etc so I think from now on I'll keep the possibility of doing a hanging (is that what you say? sounds a bit macabre) at Ground in mind and keep any new drawings that I like more carefully with a view to getting them framed.

Sorry to lower the tone, but that's a nice Brazilian! Her face reminds me of a character from the Beatle's Yellow Submarine.

I envy your talent, I know a few painters and illustrators, modest folk, such an amazing medium.

Well played, you artist you.

Thanks Camus. I agree with you re the Brazilian; not lowereing the tone at all!

Inspired. I'll do something like Suzanne to sign up a drawing class which is something I have always wanted to do but never put it into action.
Aim, then, to be aimless.
