The Chain

"Senor, Senor, do you know where we're headin'? Lincoln County Road or Armageddon?"

Oh that was a nice stretch of music, guys.
You're making my ipod obsolete.

Mmmmkay. I would make a joke about student and master
and/or attaining eternal sunshine of the spotless mind
but it would just be corny and yet as corny things so often are, true.

A lovely track and a lovelier film.

Directed by Michel Gondry who directed all the best music videos, including this trippy little number:

That IS a great video, Nash!

The Chemical Brothers also did the music for the movie Hanna (amongst others) so I could stay with the film theme, because that movie was pretty incredible. Instead, in honor of the Sunday Morning we've all had one or two (or more) of, and the genius of them collaborating with Beth Orton.

And I reserve the right to return with a Busby Berkeley number at some point here...

Oskar. For the win!

Camus, that is a great short song, I've never heard it before, though I'm a fan just about any venture Mr. Merritt has joined up with.

This is a great stretch of links in The Chain for me... hard to decide what to add next.

I'm playing this card. Death, Decay, Destruction.

Someone like Ivor makes me think about influence.

There is simply no way The Handsome Family and Tom Waits are not deeply indebted to him.

And so, two songs about grass.

If the Women of the World took over, there would be swans, definitely.

hahaha!

You nailed that on so many levels, Kris!

...and yet even the swans would not deter the gentlemen callers.

Great track Kris.

Not only is love the greatest thing, it's also the sweetest.

And interestingly enough, The Ray Noble Orchestra also had a hit with Try a Little Tenderness.
