The Chain
Re: The Chain
Yeah, it was not our last date, and he was a good guy. He brought me a tiny plant on our second date, but then, on accounta the fact that I was also dating a guy who was exciting (and yet whose life was a hot mess), I fell asleep on the good guy's shoulder while listened to this nice acoustic guitar music a coffee house. I went on to date the hot mess for a good long messy while. You've probably read a poem of mine alluding to him.
Here's a song that makes me feel like a little bit less of an old fart. And it's about people. Getting ready.

Re: The Chain
Can I get on a vote or two on this versus the Meat Puppets original? I'm partial to the latter but fully aware that I might just be pushing back against what's supposed to be cool. But then, if I'm hipster enough I'm pretty sure the original is supposed to be cooler. Unless of course I'm even more hipster, in which case it's back to Nirvana because the hipster party line is so last week. Or maybe it's just taste. Maybe I just like it more. My poor head is always looking to explode.
So, bad people go to Hell? Pretty sure I heard that one before...

I miss the chain.
It's a good excuse to share this song by one cool cat, Slim Gaillard. Lyrics lifted -- as the story goes -- from a Lebanese menu.

Yes the chain must be revived!
So said tune was Dean Moriarty's favourite tune. Dean Moriarty was a character from "On The Road" the Beat bible.

Good to see The Chain is up and running again. BUT, I can't seem to do the youtube thing anymore! I'm copying and pasting the youtube share url thingy and clicking to put the youtube brackets around it but the video's not appearing.
