Well done, John! What a strange place to have poems published! Will probably reach those places other poems never reach, though. And we can all order a free copy.

Aubin and Wills are really into the arts - they run poetry nights, have a cinema and do all sorts of other stuff, as well as sell overpriced clothing.

A "friend of mine" runs this http://www.pennedinthemargins.co.uk/?page_id=116 and pointed me in their direction.

Each Almanac they do dedicates a page to unpublished poets - so if your unpublished drop them a line! :)

I had a couple of poems in an anthology a few months ago and did get a free copy of the book and will receive a share of the 'profits' if there are any. Unless it is taken up as a text book (how not to write poetry in my case)I doubt that I will need to go to the USA to spend the proceeds:).

Today I have just received notice that one of my poems has been accepted by 'eclectic flash'. Money? Doubtful, but I am pleased!

by challenging yourself to submit to magazines you admire.

Thanks for sharing your success.

Hello everyone. I have heard that, What it must be like to not be gay, workshopped here, is to appear in Magma. This is a great board and a suitable time to say thanks for all the comments on that and other poems!

Thanks everyone. Mic, I don't know if I'll be asked. I'll certainly go if I can whether I read or not.

You will be - everyone published in Magma is asked to read at the launch.

I was too chicken!

Very well done Richard Magma is one of the top range magazines, the best I ever got from them was a rejection letter telling me to go to a poetry school and learn how to write poetry. Lots of practising reading in front of the mirror then :)

I have just published my first book of poems 'Questions for the Dead'. Available in Amazon ebooks. If you do buy it and enjoy it, I would appreciate it if you left a review on Amazon. REGARDS Terry

First, I would like to announce that I was recently published for the first time in Issue #41 of Three Line Poetry.
Second, I would like to let everyone know that I have started a new online journal specializing in publishing poetry, art, and photography. It is called Lantern Creek. I am currently taking submissions for the inaugural issue that is scheduled to debut in May. Anyone interested in submitting work for consideration can find out more information at LanternCreekPress.wordpress.com.
