Northwords Now3

Post by Antcliff » Sun Apr 28, 2019 5:59 pm

Very pleased, as always, to be appearing in the new edition...with 3 poems...and a poem by my dad. :D We've appeared a few times now, but I always take great delight in seeing a joint appearance. This makes us the biggest father/son literary pair in, o, perhaps the whole village.

Interesting mag. Seth. Shall dip into it over the next few days. Very much like Seth Snr's poem...and, of course, always appreciate your writing.

Well done to you both.

Ta, Mac. It is, I suppose, the main Highlands/Islands literary magazine, so well known in these parts...and publicly funded and free. In part, in large part, because it prints work in Gaelic. Many of the folk of Scottish literary life are there somewhere in previous editions.

Many congrats Seth! I like all three poems, but especially ‘Ineffable‘. I like how your poems often embrace a bits of philosophy (Wittgenstein’s in ‘Ineffable’ I believe) with a local concrete context. Good stuff!

Cheers,

Tristan
