Love the vibrancy of the colour Lake. Like the angles too, the way the black and white petals push out in an umbrella shape. Not sure what the bird is for though, seems a bit diminutive.

Always a pleasure to see these. Love the little bird - draws the eye, makes one sees from a bird's or even an insect's perspective.

Hi Mac,

Thanks for the vibrancy. As for the angles, I have to admit I first screwed it up so I rotated the image a bit. That's why the bird is now in the middle which should've been on the side. Nothing can escape your eye.

Hi Delph,

Thank you for liking the bird. I am not good at fine details but I wanted to give the drawing some liveliness so the bird was added. A spoiler? :)

The bird is the best part, I think. It's so tiny; but from its vantage point there on the seedpod, it keeps the whole picture together.
The colour-shading of the background is discreet but very effective.
Yes. Harmony all over.

I really like the contrast between the grey tones and the bright color of the flower. The brush strokes are quite impressive in this piece. I have to agree with Mac about the bird though.

Thank you Jane and Marten for stopping by.

The bird is good, my skill is poor. :)

I'll work more on my brush strokes.

Thanks
