Only the second time?

Blimey, Ros. You're a bit bloody good at this, you know. Could nitpick about her left foot, but the rest is super.

Thanks! I'm fairly pleased with this one, but only because it doesn't need all the bits I can't do (see other post!) like hands, face... I've done a bit of watercolour before, but never proper drawing. Onwards and upwards!

I like the parts a lot, but I'm not sure they stitch together to make the whole. I feel the waist downwards has more shape, substance, though I like the fact the figure is looking over something. The viewer being viewed.

Thanks, Mac. I do seem to find legs the easiest at the moment.

Wow Ros. Good buttocks! Amazing to think this is only your second try.

seth
p.s. perhaps right leg between hip/knee seems a bit lengthy? Not sure.

Thanks Seth! She did have pretty strident buttocks! The leg length may well be wrong - fitting all the bits together is one of the trickiest bits. I believe God felt the same way.

 Actually to be fair Ros there is far more to like about this, the positioning being one of them, than focussing on viewers expectations of proportions.

Well done, Ros! Excellent.

Has anyone else noticed how the ladies here at PG all seem to be multi-talented........the gents, not so much.

Second time, you say? -- Wowie, Ros . . . that's impressive.

And it's a really good drawing by itself, too (irrespective of number).

I think this is really good Ros - she has a sense of substance and you've got depth and perspective in there. You are going to be really good if you keep at it. (In my first drawings the feet and hands looked withered and tiny, and I didn't even notice until I look back on them now.) You have a good eye.

Thanks, Mic. I've noticed how your style has changed and progressed - I'll be happy if I can do the same.

Thanks, Marten. There's one more class before the summer break. I'll see what I can do!
