Another great set, especially the B&W one. I can almost hear the steam hissing out of those vents.

Really enjoyed these.

1. I liked the angle of the stairs; the orange/green; the angle of the stairs against the oblong of the trash bin. The one way sign pointing to the trash bin was amusing.

2 Atmospheric; I found myself looking into and up with the angle, perhaps the vertical pipes contributed to this.

3. The third was my fav. because there was less distraction and the pic focussed on the windows. I enjoyed the reflections, the movement of the graffiti, the light on the walls and pavement, the incline...the windows are like a family. Pity about the black nothingness to the right.

Thank you Catherine and Macavity. The last two were taken in Seattle, and the first was in a town 2 hours north of there in Bellingham - close to the border with Canada. I don't always like to have my camera in busy downtown areas with lots of people - it feels congested. I find alleyways to be quiet and that the backs of buildings are often more interesting than the fronts. There seems to be plenty of good material there, from graffiti, to rusty pipes, and to the overall industrial feel that I find so intriguing. Thanks again.

Very good approach taking pictures away from the front, away from the crowds.

The second is just like a scene from an old black and write film. The windows in the last one are very interesting. Is that reflection of the bricks of another building?

Nicely done.

Thanks Lake, those are reflections on the building reflected from the building across from it. I had a hard time getting everything in frame even using my widest angle lens.
