I'm late to this, Nicky, but I think there's a lot to like in the latest version. s1 is especially strong, I'd say, and sets the piece off with a rhythmic and dramatic start. It's a shame that its link with what follows is a little tenuous, in narrative terms. Still, what follows is very good, and evokes a powerful sense of loss. There are perhaps one or two places where the piece seems to be too conscious of its own "poemness" (s5, for example), but it nonetheless bears the hallmarks of a sharp poetic ear.
