I suppose many of you will know it, but this is what Robert Browning thought at the emergence of poetry recording. 0.24.

Wonderful. I've never heard that before. It's a desperately sad illustration of all we can't know about those old voices we can only read. "... me verses!" We'd never have known he said it like that.
