Weekend of March 19/20 would also work.
I would have no objections to either of those, but everything remains provisional for the moment. I am provisional, but keen.

march 19 not good for me. 5/6th march would be fine, I believe.
David, it wouldn't be the same without you.

Good, to see a lot of you are still here.

I would love to tag along. Still living in Ireland, but would be a great reason to return to my homeland.

Meeting you guys might inspire me to write again.

Still haven't penned a poem in over 3 years, its hard and frustrating, but I am patient.

I return here quite a bit just to read some of your work, but do not critque purely because my ability to read a poem has seriously diminished.

Hope you are all well

Vincent

Vincent, I'm afraid I don't remember you, but nice to make your acquaintance. I'd be astonished if meeting me inspired you to write anything but satire and philippics, however, I know all too well the despair induced by not producing poetry and understand your resorting to desperate measures.

I'm in. :D
I'd love to meet up with you all again.
Thoroughly enjoyed our last get together.
It was great to put faces to names and get to know you on a more personal level.
None of you looked anything like I had imagined.
I was way off the mark, but then again, I usually am
Ray was my biggest surprise.
I had him down as an ageing skinhead in checked shirt and multiple piercings
ooops
How wrong was I????

Has a concrete date been set?
A venue?

I need to organise time off work and a hotel.

I don't know Manchester so I'm afraid I can't offer any suggestions re a venue.

I look forward to meeting up with you all and having a thoroughly wonderful weekend :)

Nobody has arranged anything and nobody is (yet) leaping forward to do so...

I did mutter briefly about it with Ros a day or two back, and she was musing if later in the year might be better...?

I'm not opposed to that in itself, but I'm wondering whether k-j may already have booked something on the strength of previous comments. K-j ... ?

Hi and sorry for going quiet on y'all. Looks like there's no way I'll be able to do it in March. I could maybe do September... but it's probably better if I now leave it to others to decide.

I'd be happy for Kieran to give us his dates and to work around those.

That sounds like a nice non-contentious date. Can't argue with the middle of October.

Works for me.

If we get general agreement, I'll advertise it with stickies on the forums and we'll see if we can drum up a solid quorum...

General agreement or not, I will be in Manchester that weekend (Friday afternoon to Sunday morning). Hope y'all can come and hang out. If not, I'll just stand around in the rain eating pies, or whatever's the done thing when alone in Manchester.

I'll be there eating pies too, come what may. Within reason, that is.

Excellent.

The weekend of 15th October in Manchester.

So far I believe we have:

Ian
Ros
David
Kieran
Peter
Pauline
Stuart
Vincent?
Jackie?

Anyone else? Everyone is very welcome. It was lovely meeting people last year - everyone was exactly like and completely unlike how you imagine them to be.

You were the leading light last year, Suzanne. It would be nice to see you shining there again.
