Hello from Birmingham

Post by capricorn » Wed Nov 07, 2018 7:00 pm

Hello everyone,

I live in Birmingham UK, although I was born in South Wales. I began writing poetry in 2002 when I had 'empty nest syndrome'. I found it therapeutic and later quite addictive. I don't write as much now but still have the writing 'bug' and have made friends all over the world. I post at a few other forums and enjoy having varied feedback from fellow poets. When I found Poets' Graves, I recognised a few familiar names and I'm looking forward to interacting with you all.

Welcome to PG Nira. Look forward to reading your poems. You will find an eclectic mix here, which is healthy in my view.

cheers

mac (also born in South Wales!)

Hello Mac,
so you were born in South Wales too. It's a small world! Where exactly were you born? I was born in Neath but lived in a little mining village called Seven Sisters.

Hello JJ,

I'm sure you know me better as Rhapsody of Rhyme (not so much rhyme these days!) You were one of the poets I recognised which drew me in to join PG.

Yes, I was pretty sure it was you, Eira. IE Rhapsody of Rhyme. I'm SO pleased to see you here and delighted you recognized some of the resident poets, me included. :)

See you around, here and there.

Hello Eira. I grew up in Brum. What part do you live in?
I'm out of faith and in my cups
I contemplate such bitter stuff.

I grew up in Northfield, south side of the city. I live in Malvern now.
