Captchas?

Postby bodkin » Tue Jan 08, 2013 10:27 pm

Ros tells me she changed her password and cannot now log on...

I'm not utterly sure of the sequence of events, it may be she got it wrong a few times, then the captchas turned on, but do not seem to be working?

Obviously my new anti-spam devices are working a little too well. On the plus side I have had no spam registrations for days!

Password does need to include different cases, numbers and symbols.

There should not be a captcha to copy but there may be a question to answer.

I assume the text ads are intentional?

I meant unintentional. And never mind. It's clearly a problem on my end. Some adware bullshit.

What text ads??? We do have a few on the main PG site but hopefully they are not too intrusive.

It's not you, it's me. :)

No really. After reading this thread earlier, I noticed text ads in strange places, like the descriptions of the various forums. For example, the featured poem forum's description (something like "the complete collection") had a text ad in the word "complete". Anyway, I just assumed (based on this thread) that you had upgraded or whatever and that things were gone haywire. But I just had some stupid adware thing running. I have since rectified the problem.
