Greetings, Ciaran

Thanks for the introduction and greeting. Welcome to PG. :D

Re: Everything's changing.

Aha! I see you have moved into your geometrical abstract phase!

It feels to me as if a bit of a fight is going on. I think Red is winning and is using the kind of hammers used to play vibes. Yellow is wisely holding back.

Very enjoyable.

Re: Do Birds Tut? (revised)

A sweet, relaxed poem, JJ. Some nice lines as well... A tendril mist spiralled I heard two mute swans tut. We kissed and unzipped the tent. Especially the last one. With the same words it manages to nicely say what happened and imply that something will happen. Like Mac, not sure I grasp the idea of...

Re: Congrats Seth

Thanks very much, Tristan! Thanks very much, Mac....well, naturally, I assume Mrs Mac is a woman of excellent taste. Strange to think it but the new Bangor Literary Journal is far closer to me in miles than any mag based in England. I can see Ireland from Mull, sometimes...but not England. I can't q...

It was new to me. So I don't know. But I was so taken by the cat theme that I sifted through my files, tweaked and sent 4 short ones. Blame Mac!

It is easy to miss the rules when people first arrive. I am sure did. But we do have a 2-crits-for-1-posted-poem rule here. Just bringing the first rule to your attention if you missed it....viewtopic.php?f=25&t=3497

Re: Lucille, Blind Son, Deep Blues, and an Empty Tobacco Can

Greetings, RC Enjoyed it. Not heard any Mance Lipscomb in years. Nice you knew him. Nice memory to have. On the poem, I found my mind was straying because of the shortness of the lines that kept imposing breaks in the flow that had little to with the sense. Imho, the poem (as a reading experience) w...

Re: Patrick Kavanagh

Thanks, Tristan. I like "Innocence" as well. I like the role of the whitehorns. The broadcast on Kavanagh is here if anyone is interested. There are a few engaging bits, although it does rather follow the rural-upbringing/goes-to-Dublin/bit-of-a-grumpy-bastard/mellows-in-old-age pattern...http://www...

Re: New Comp/Exercise/Discussion

I think the original idea is a good one. I, for one, would love to see where it would take me. I'm half way there already, anyway. LOL I walked so lonely in a crowd across the bridge that spanned the Tyne, when all at once I saw a cloud of seagulls heading for the brine. Ok, I'll stop there. For no...
