I really like this hop-cinq of yours, Seth!

Hops are such lovely critters. I've never seen them in poly tunnels, though; but I know they're fond of climbing trees, sometimes making tunnels, and secret caves too.

erm... why have you? To avert the evil eye of consensus. http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z21/Magpie-Jane/Andres/didi_zpswhvcipoe.gif No, really. Here, then. On a narrow path alongside a lake not far from here, you may, if you look in the right places, encounter an eerie show: someone, probably a...

Re: November Snakeskin

It must be getting cold where you are, now. I lived in Copenhagen for a year about 10 years ago teaching English and it was very cold but very beautiful too. Not very cold yet, mostly +5-10 degrees C, so I shan't complain. But the Danish winters were generally colder 10 years ago. Myself, I lived i...

Hi Seth, hi David - Buckets of thanks for looking in on this! And thanks also for reminding me of the scarecrow poem, and for the singing scarecrow, I didn't know that one. While being a keen gardener myself, I must admit to a certain fondness of these bright orange specimens; not least since they'v...

Re: Happy slug

Thanks a lot, JJ, for visiting the slugs' diner! I tell you, it came slithering out from under the nettles like a piece of wine-gum from outer space. I shared a biscuit with it. What actually surprised me was the slug's reaction: genuine, unmistakable happiness. I love it when stuff like this happen...

Re: Antiphon issue 16

Great applause to Ros and David for composing this issue! It looks really interesting. Right now I'm hanging in a sort of bothersome limbo between an old and a new computer, so haven't had a chance to read it as thoroughly as I like to do - ach, not even all of it yet - but I'll come round to it.
