Re: The theology of Basil Fotherington-Thomas

Loved it David, but then I have spent many hours in the classrooms and corridors of St Custard's.

Wasn't sure about sissy as a description of complexion, but perhaps that comes directly from the books? Sissy obviously does.

A keeper.

Re: I Dream of Jolene

I unravel the Druid's Prayer then write of ancient oaks and tree beards. Ivanhoe!! It's on; they're about to transmit your favourite. My iced Tsingtao sloshes [s]hectically[/s] over the pixie filled wagon train. I retire to our shadowed drawing room to scrutinize a rerun of, "A Man For all Seasons"...

Re: Hollow -edit

Why do you need anything there at all? You're describing a quotidian act, the bringing of a cup of tea accompanied by a dispassionate peck on the head. You don't need anything other than the word forehead, and even that could be cut in half. Flesh is the worst possible word. I've asked all the words...

Re: Occam all ye faithful

Thanks all.

Suzy, I go to the trouble of writing you a poem and you don't even consider it so. My heart is full of farts.

JJ, some might think your red pen rude. I'm not on the fence. Fences are so 1980's.

Re: Numbers station (revised, after only three years...)

Very Interesting piece Ian. I'll comment in more detail later, but I just wanted to note Larry's comments. Goodness I miss him, the best poetic commentator I've ever met on the Internet.

Sorry Ian. But also thanks.

V good. Bit Blurrish for a bit, then not, then a bit Arctic Monkeys towards the end. Liked it anyway, though lyrics felt a bit shoehorned.

What do I know.

Re: CSI Münster

Ok, maybe his prints aren't everywhere but what occurred in Münster, it cannot be denied, has its roots in Luther's protests.

Feel free to correct my German David. How should it be rendered?

I thought it was a bit plodding. But I've just posted a colossal turd of a poem so what do I know.

Still think flesh is all wrong. Still agree with Ros about the full stop.
