vignette / Mother is always right

Me: "Mum, there's nothing to eat in the fridge."
Mother: "Well, you are just not hungry enough yet."

Later...

Me: "Sardines and corn are soo good."

Re: Dante on a Diet in Tesco

Hell as a Super Market.
I see what you mean in this piece, made me laugh.

Ye Olde English phasing a little hard to understand in places (for this uneducated reader),
could be toned down a bit after the mood is set, perhaps.

I enjoyed.

Re: The Giant of Crabber Nase (v6)

I really like this piece, I had to google a few words, but it all comes together and works well.
The theme comes through, and is important.

Re: In the shadow of greatness

Sorry, I did not mean to be disrespectful, thanks for the read and the comment.
i'm just keeping within the Meme of the piece, which could have been titled; "Shit flows downward", if I didn't have your advice.
Pretty sure that title would not attract readers.

In the shadow of greatness

The greats entrance us, inspire and enhance us, with a movement of the soul. It took me a while, but now I know with a smile what the greats were producing, for me. 'twas the quickening of heart the moment of knowing the very essence, of being. The great one awakes, stretches, yawns, genuflects and ...

Re: Short

I like this simple moment in life, it is too few times people notice these.

Some suggestions for title:
Sun Bee
Sun Beem ( very bad %)
Occultation (a bit Astronomical perhaps)
A shadow cast (mysterious)

A moment in the sunlight

Memorial lies

911 America cries,
unused to tears

December 17th, Iraq
A mother morns,
bows in silent prayer,
her children now dead.

The lie that shook the globe
The blood that fed the schemers.

No questions, no doubt.
It is all just global commerce
Nothing to see here,
turn away, it is all ok.

Re: Making Sense

All the synesthesia references and hints at spiritual truth reminds me of mushrooms.
There is truth in sleep, that altered consciousness we so take for-granted.

Best take it easy on the mushrooms for a good nights sleep though :)

Flapping both wings

The past is a foreign land
The future but a mere fantasy.

“Let’s get back to better times”
“Let’s make a better future”
“Build back better”

Fuck that!
Let us simply be good to each other, today!

As the great prophet Madonna once preached:
It’s just one day out of life,
But It could be so nice.
