Memorial lies

911 America cries,
unused to tears

December 17th, Iraq
A mother morns,
bows in silent prayer,
her children now dead.

The lie that shook the globe
The blood that fed the schemers.

No questions, no doubt.
It is all just global commerce
Nothing to see here,
turn away, it is all ok.

Re: Flapping both wings

As the great prophet Madonna once preached

That made me smile
Give it few hundred years, and your smile will be gone,
But Madonna will still preach :)

Re: Making Sense

All the synesthesia references and hints at spiritual truth reminds me of mushrooms.
There is truth in sleep, that altered consciousness we so take for-granted.

Best take it easy on the mushrooms for a good nights sleep though :)

Flapping both wings

The past is a foreign land
The future but a mere fantasy.

“Let’s get back to better times”
“Let’s make a better future”
“Build back better”

Fuck that!
Let us simply be good to each other, today!

As the great prophet Madonna once preached:
It’s just one day out of life,
But It could be so nice.

She hears the hum of bees.
I have pondered, and pondered,
I dont understand, so I just have to ask "What is with the Bees?"

Re: Birdwatcher (revision)

The original put me in mind of youthful first stirrings of romantic attraction.
After the revision;
I'm hearing more of old love seen momentarily though new eyes.

This one does seem elusive.

Looks like it was Hope Hicks who coughed on Trump.

Oh, and "De bleeke jongeling" is quite good, Dutch is not one of my languages, but even the English translation is very worthy.

Youth is wasted on the young.

For what it is worth, I'd go in this direction:
and coughs-up a coin for the urn,
The Queens likeness tarnished by bile.
I liked the piece, not sure I fully understand.

NAK

I post, you post.
We meet in the the virtual
textual exchange of sentiment.

We find sometimes,
an individual who
rises above the excrement.

A tenuous link.
faceless banter with emoji,
but enough to make one think.

I post, no reply.
