I have just returned from Little Filmset in Broadshire (aka Maddingham) and I have to say that the oak tree that you show on your 'Location Shots' page is definitely NOT the oak tree that appears in 'A Brush with Death'. If you use the freeze frame facility on your VCR you will see that the oak tree in 'A Brush with Death' has 7 and a half branches coming off the main trunk whereas yours has only 6. Dave Obsessive
I, too, have visited Little Filmset and I'm convinced that the REAL tree in 'A Brush with Death' actually lies 11.73 metres south west of the tree shown in your photograph. However, it is not an oak tree but a LIME! Adrian Anorak

My view is that the tree in 'A Brush with Death' is
not actually a tree at all but is a member of the crew dressed as a tree. If you
look very carefully you can see it breathe.

I think that you have photographed the right tree
Nick, but I have to say that the patch of grass on your 'Location Shots' page is
far too lush to be the patch in 'Every Grain of Gravel'. I have estimated that
there at at least 355 blades of grass too many. Great website though......keep up the good
work.

| If you know the location of the REAL tree I'd love to hear
from you, as I don't get many emails myself, or phone calls for that matter, and
I don't
get out very often except for my evening class - Norwegian for Improvers - and that's just me and Anders (he's the tutor) and he's
thinking of leaving...
